Las Vegas, NV (August 10, 2020) – A pedestrian was struck and killed after attempting to cross Interstate 15 northbound near downtown Las Vegas on Sunday night.
According to offices with the Nevada Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 9:30 p.m. on the northbound side of the highway, close to the Martin Luther King flyover exit. Investigators dispatched to the scene of the crash say that the person was attempting to cross the northbound lanes from the center median but didn’t make it.
The driver of the car that struck the pedestrian stayed on the scene and cooperated with investigators. And though impairment is not considered to be a factor at this time, the accident remains under investigation. Neither identity of the driver nor the pedestrian has been released.
